On August 19, 2011 the President of Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq, the engineer Ashur Sargon met with the representatives of parties and charitable institutions of our people in Chicago, and the meeting discussed the activities of the Assyrian Aid Society in Iraq and its projects that implements at home.


On August 20, the President met with the Chicago branch of the Assyrian Aid Society – US, the and the meeting discussed the programs of the Society in Chicago and its most prominent activities, as well as he met with Father Awikam the pastor of the Church of Saint Odisho of the Assyrian Church of the East.


On August 21, the Aid Society held a dinner for the occasion of 20 years for the establishment of the Assyrian Aid Society, where Mr. Ashur Sargon gave a speech during the ceremony in which he talked about the most prominent projects of the society, especially to support the assyrian education process and dormitories and supporting the displaced people. The celebration was attended by the masses of our people as well as representatives of political parties and institutions of our people in Chicago.


On August 22, Mr. Ashur Sargon the president of the Assyrian Aid Society met with the Mr. Sheba Mando head of the Assyrian National Council.
In the evening of the same day he met with Chicago section of the Assyrian Democratic Movement.


On August 23, he met with His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV Catholicos Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East and during the meeting they discussed the Iraqi situation and activities of the  Assyrian Aid Society at home and the support that the Society providing for the Assyrian education process.
On the same day Mr. Ashur Sargon visited the Assyrian Universal Alliance Foundation (AUAF), headed by Mr. Homer Ashurean and the meeting discussed the programs and activities of the Assyrian Aid Society and its support for the process of Assyrian education in Iraq.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Georgis Roial and engineer Peter Petheo from the Assyrian Aid Society of America \ Chicago Chapter.
