On Wednesday, Aug 13th 2014, by the support of the Assyrian Aid Society of America, the Assyrian Aid Society in Erbil, in coordination with the Assyrian Women Union, a Relief Program has been implemented for displaced families from Mosul and Nineveh plain after the recent events in the region, where the program of distribution of the humanitarian aid included the food substances to 160 of displaced families of our people, the program also included distribution of matresses to a number of families, who have been housed in the headquarters of the Assyrian women Union, Chaldoassyrian Students and Youth Union, Akitu secondary School and  Ankawa Secondary School, and with attendance of Mr. Oder Marbin Ms. Romy Yousif, the members of AAS in Erbil, Ms. Janet Rasho, the secretary of the Assyrian Women Union, and Ms. Marleen Yousif, the head of Erbil branch for the Union and a number of youth volunteers, members and cadres of the Assyrian Democratic Movement for the branches of Erbil and Baghdida to help in process of the distribution.
