On October 21st 2013, Mr. Ashur Eskrya President of the Assyrian Aid Society Iraq received at the headquarters of Society, Mr. Sheba Mando President of the Assyrian National Council of Illinois, by the attendance of Mr. Mikhail Jajjo the responsible of the Assyrian Democratic Movement for Illinois Section, Mr. Jacob Georges Member of Kurdistan Region Parliament from Alrafedain List, Mr. Fareed Yako and Mr. Yousif Khobiar, Mr. Ashur Aprim, the leading members for the Assyrian Democratic Movement, as well as the meeting was attended by members of the administrative board of the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq, where the meeting discussed Society's activities in homeland and the joint activities between the Society and the Assyrian National Council in participating in events of the Permanent Forum for Indigenous Peoples of the United Nations in New York, where Mr. Sheba Mando was honored the shield of the Society for his role in supporting our People in the homeland and the Diaspora.
