Visit of the AAS-A President in Iraq

On October 8^th, 2013, the Society's delegation, headed by Mr. Ashur Yoseph, president of the Assyrian Aid Society of America, visited the church of Mar Narsai in Duhok, where the delegation met with the Priest Philipos Dawood, by the attendance of Mr. Ashur Eskrya, president of the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq, Mr. Georges Yoseph and Mr. Patrus Isho Society's member Iraq and Priest Aprim Youanis, The delegation then went to visit the Akad primary and secondary school, where the visiting delegation met with the school administrator Mr. Fareed Yako and the teaching staff.

Thereafter, the delegation went to Someil district and visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, where the delegation was received by Mr. Dindar William the responsible for ADM branch in Sumail, and then the delegation visited the Shameil High school in Sheyoz, The delegation also visited Missoureki and Sourka villages and met with a number of personalities and dignitaries of the region and the bodies optional for this villages, where during the visit, the delegation was listening to the many requests from schools and provided support for some emergency situations in schools.

In the evening, Mr. Ashur Yoseph, President of AAS-A met with the Assyrian women Union in Dohuk, where he was received by Mrs. Marleen Slevo, the responsible of branch Dohuk for the Assyrian Women Union and a number of Union member, and the meeting discussed the Union's activities in the country and their needs.

On Wednesday, October 9^th 2013, the Society's delegation visited the Sapna area, they visited the Aurhai Basic and High School in Sarsink district and met with management of the school, then they visited number of villages in the Sapna area (Einishkee, Balejanee and Badaresh) and also visited the Sarsink Pharmacy and the headquarters of branch Sarsank for the Assyrian Democratic Movement.

On the evening of the same day, Mr. Ashur Yoseph visited the headquarters of the Chaldoassyrian Students and Youth Union, where he met with Mr. Allen Tabsima the responsible for Dohuk branch of Student Union, the meeting was attended by a number of Union's members, and then the delegation went to the Assyrian Cultural Center in Dohuk and met with the president of Cultural Center Assyrian, Mr. Riyadh Jarjees and a number of center's members.
