On Jun 30th, Erbil, at the headquarters of the United Nations, the president of the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq, Mr. Ashur Sargon met Dr. Marzio Babille the UNICEF Representative in Iraq, by the attendance of Mr. Patrus Esho the responsible for relief and humanitarian affairs in the Society, as well as the meeting was attended by Mr. Akim Shejaneh the director of education and Ms. Mary P Mendes Communication Consultant for development and disaster risk reduction at UNICEF, where the both sides talked about Society's activities & relief programs for the displaced, in additional to Society's support for the Assyrian Education Process, as the Society's President talked about his recent visit to the United States of America and the Society's participation in the work of the 12th Permanent Forum of Indigenous Peoples in New York, and the future cooperation with the UNICEF & UN organizations.
