President of AAS-Iraq participates in the implementation of the distribution of school supplies to students in primary schools in Al-Hamdaniya district in Nineveh Plain
On Saturday, Dec. 1st 2018, Mr. Ashur Eskrya, President of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, participated in the implementation of distributing school supplies project for the primary school students and kindergartens in Bakhdida (Al-Hamdania district), with the attendance and participation of Nineveh Provincial Council Member Mr. Dawood Baba Yacoub, Mr. Issam Daboul, Mayor of AlHamdaniya District, Mr. Imad Babawi, Member of district council, Col. Jawad Habib, Commander of the Nineveh Protection Units (NPU), Captain Anwar Esso, Director of National Security in Al-Hamdaniya District, and the Representative of the Director General of Nineveh Education, Mr. Jassam Ahmed, and Mr. Rafid Yousif, Director of Al-Hamdaniya Education, and Deputy Director Mr. Abbas Hassan, in addition to the attendance of a number of local and foreign TV channels, which participated in the media coverage of the event.
The participants in the project program praised the efforts made by the Assyrian Charity Society-Iraq for its projects and services for the Nineveh villages and towns.
It is worth mentioning that the implementation of the project is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Iraqi Society Resilience Initiative, which includes the distribution of school supplies to students in (85) primary schools and kindergartens in Al-Hamdaniya district.
