The Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq represented by Mr. Ashur Eskrya, President of the Society participated in the celebration held by the Dohuk branch of the Assyrian Women Union on Wednesday Mar. 14th 2018 on the occasion of the International Women Day at the Assyrian Cultural Center, where the President extended congratulations to the Assyrian women all around the world wishing them success and success.

 

The Assyrian Aid Society, represented by its president, participated in the final of Mezalta Tournament for students of universities and institutes in Duhok on Thursday, Mar. 15th 2018 organized by the Chaldo Assyrian Students and Youth Union.

 

Mr. Ashur Eskrya, President of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, participated in the celebration held by the Assyrian Cultural Center on Thursday Mar. 15th 2018, on the occasion of its 26th year of founding the Center, in addition to the attendance and participation of a number of representatives of institutions. Beside attending the cultural symposium was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the martyrdom of Patriarch Shimon the twenty-first century Benjamin, which was held in the Assyrian Cultural Center. It is worth mentioning that [Mar Shimon the twenty-first Benjamin (in Syriac: ܣܘܪܝܝܐ), also known as Mar Benjamin Shamoun, Patriarchs of the Assyrian Church of the East residing in Hakkari. He was born in 1887 and took over the Patriarchate in Qudchanis in 1903. He led about 50,000 of his parishioners to Urmia during the Assyrian massacres. Was assassinated on 3 March 1918 with (150) of his companions]. The ceremony was also held on Thursday 15 March 2018.
