On Sunday, Jun. 25th 2017, the Assyrian Aid Society, with the support of Christian Aid, launched a project of repairing the irrigation channels for the agricultural land on both sides of the two villages of Kashkawa and Belmend in Nahla, after its completion.

 

The project began in April 2017, by opening the way to the work area and drilling for the two channels (300 meters for the irrigation farm in the village of Kashkawa and 300 meters for the irrigation farm in the village of Belmend), followed by the work of crushed stone brushes, laying floors, building the channels and finishing with the plastering works.

 

In a related context, the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, with the support of Christian Aid, in order to accomplish the agricultural project, implemented a project to construct a concrete water storage tank in Barwar area with a capacity of (7 × 6 × 2) m3 to extend the water for the agricultural lands in the summer season. The project began on May 21st 2017 It was completed on June 24th 2017.
