President of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq Mr. Ashur Eskrya, during his current visit in Toronto - Canada, Oct. 22nd 2015, met with His Eminence Archbishop Mar Zaia Khoshaba Bishop of Canada for the Ancient Church of the East, the meeting discussed of AAS-I president with His Eminence Archbishop about the difficult humanitarian conditions experienced by our people after their displacement from their regions in Mosul and Nineveh plain after controlling the terrorist ISIS, as President of AASI also talked about the relief activities and programs implemented by the AASI of providing aid and for the contribution effort to alleviate the suffering of displaced families in difficult conditions they face.

 

On the same day, President of AAS-Iraq Mr. Ashur met with Ms. Juliana Taimoorazy Founder and President, Iraqi Christian Relief Council and by the attendance of Mr. Michael Yoash leader of the Iraq Sustainable Democracy Project, where Mr. Ashur spoke about the joint programs which AASI has implemented by the support of the Council in providing the humanitarian aid to the displaced families and the ways to mitigate the suffering after the displacement, as they also discussed the continuation of joint cooperation in the future in many fields that serve our people.
