On Sunday, Oct. 18th 2015, the Assyrian Aid Society of Canada held a public seminar for Mr. Ashur Eskrya President of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, Where Mr. Saber Toma presented a welcoming speech for the honored guest and the attendees, thereafter Mr. Georgis Yako, the responsible for Canada Section of ADM, gave a value word of the of explaining the meanings of attendees in supporting our people in the homeland and the high sense of standing a one man stand with the cause of our people.

 

Then Mr. Ashur Eskrya President of AAS in Iraq gave a word explaining all the developments on the Iraqi arena and then he touched on the situation of our people, the displaced people and the role of the Assyrian Aid Society in resolving all matters relating to housing and other things in addition to the transportation of students and lecturers fees and to all matters relating to on daily life for the displaced people. Then he turned to role of the international humanitarian organizations, which in turn contributed to a large extent in logistics and humanitarian support. Then Dr. George Warda, president of AAS of Canada talked about the projects undertaken by the AAS Ca that actively contributed in the moral and logistical support in homeland.

 

At the end of the seminar, the attendees gave a series of questions and queries answered by the honoured guest and expressed his thanks so all proposals that would develop the work of the AAS and enhances its role with our people.
