By the support of GlobalMedic – David Mcanthony Gibson Foundation, the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, on Oct. 12th & 13th 2015, implemented a relief program for the distribution of humanitarian aid and household assistance for displaced families of Mosul and Nineveh Plain, where the Society has provided humanitarian aid and household of (Stove, Fuel Heaters, Mattresses, Blankets, Hygiene kits and other essential items), in which these items were distributed to (400) of displaced families in the villages of (Navkendala, Levo, Mergasor & Birka in Zakho district and villages of Tillan, Malabrwan & Hazarjut in Aqra area).

 

The providing of these items comes with the initiative of AASI in alleviating suffer of our displaced people from Mosul and Nineveh Plain during the upcoming freezing temperatures and cold weather of winter in areas of existence of our displaced people.

 

It is worth mentioning that the distribution of aid was attended by the delegation of GlobalMedic that included Mr. Nevin Kobayashi the Emergency Programs Officer, as well as Ms. Samantha Pantridge.
