The artist Lida Lawando visits the AAS-Iraq headquarters
On July 13th 2015, Mr. Ashur Eskrya president of Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq received at the Society's headquarters the artist Lida Lawando who came to northern Iraq in an inspection visit to the conditions of the displaced families after the events of June 2014 and the displacement of a large number of our people of Mosul and Nineveh Plain, the visiting of Ms. Lida was accompanied by Mr. George mezo Lawando, in addition to the attendance of board members of the Society.
In the meeting of Mr. Ashur Eskrya with the visiting delegation, AASI President talked about the activities and relief programs carried out by the Society, which includes providing humanitarian assistance to the displaced, as Ms. Lida visited the dormitories of the Society which at the moment shelters a number of displaced families.
