After great & strenuous efforts by the Assyrian Aid Society in Iraq & Canada, a contract of agreement was signed between the AAS & GlobalMedic Organization from Canada, as a beginning of subsequent agreements to implement relief program for the displaced people from Mosul & Nineveh Plain in northern Iraq after the events of June 2014, where after several talks it was agreed to relief (1000) of displaced families in the provinces of Dohuk & Erbil, in 5 May & 6 May 2015, by providing them with a package of hygiene requirements.

 

AS-Iraq implemented a relief program, on Tuesday, May 5th 2015, for displaced families from Mosul and Nineveh Plain in the city of Dohuk which included providing package of Hygiene materials to (434) families, as the program also included (266) of displaced families in the villages of Sarsing and Badaresh, and on May 6th 2015, AASI completed the program by distributing humanitarian aid to (300) displaced families in Ashti Complex in Ankawa, Erbil

 

It is worth mentioning that the implementation of the program has been supported by the GlobalMedic Organization – David Mcantony Gibson Foundation from Canada, as the implementation of program was attended by Mr. Ashur Eskrya President AAS-Iraq, in addition to a delegation from the GlobalMedic Orgnization.
