On the complementing the visit of delegations headed by Mr. Chris Seiple, the president of the IGE and the delegation of the Assyrian Aid Society of America to northern Iraq, the delegation visited the province of Dohuk on Feb. 9th 2015, where the delegation checked on the situation of the displaced people from Mosul and Nineveh Plain in the province of Dohuk, as well as the visit included the implementation of many relief programs for IDP's, by the support of (the Institute for Global Engagement & the Cradle Fund) and in coordination with the Assyrian Aid Society of America, where the AAS-Iraq distributed humanitarian aid, (kerosene material and food baskets) to nearly 2,000 displaced families in the province of Dohuk, and by the attendance of Mr. Chris Seiple president of the Institute for Global Engagement, Mr. Ashur Eskrya president of the Assyrian Aid Society in Iraq and Mrs. Mona Malik, Vice President of the Assyrian Aid Society of America and Mr. Peter Bityou, member of the administrative board of AAS-A.

 

The tour of delegation also included a visit to the massacre site of Semel (1933) and placing the wreaths on the graves of the martyrs, and then followed with a visit to the Alqosh town in to check on the situation of displaced families there.
